Aaron Gillmore serves as WAVE’s Chief Executive Officer. An accomplished executive and licensed civil engineer, Gillmore joined WAVE in 2021 bringing over 20 years of experience negotiating and executing large transactions and investments in electric vehicles and related clean technologies.

Prior to joining WAVE, Gillmore served as Vice President and Head of BYD’s North American truck division, where he led the team responsible for engineering, project management, business development, sales, and aftersales customer service.
In his past roles, Gillmore led the Business Development and Sales organizations for Tesla’s Energy Operations Division and served as Vice President of Solar Development at SolarCity Corporation (acquired by Tesla in 2016).
Gillmore earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, a Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, and completed the Executive Leadership Development Program at Columbia Business School in New York. He also served in the U.S. Navy as a Civil Engineer Corps Officer, obtaining the rank of Lieutenant. During his service time, Gillmore managed the design and construction of major renovation, development, and infrastructure projects.
