Steven Polunsky is the Senior Energy Policy Specialist for Clean Transportation at the Washington State Department of Commerce where he helps facilitate the state’s decarbonization, reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, and improvement in quality of life. He previously served as the Director of the University of Alabama Transportation Policy Research Center, as a Research Scientist at the Texas A&M Transportation Institute, and as legislative and executive branch staff in transportation and regulatory policy. Polunsky serves on several committees of the Transportation Research Board, National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, and on the Board of Advisors of the ENO Center for Transportation.
