Compared to new electric school buses, diesel buses repowered with electricity have many of the same environmental and health benefits, cost less, and address limited domestic production capacity. Nevertheless, repowers face a number of barriers. This panel will explore the potential benefits of repowers, barriers to their use and strategies for using repowers to accelerate the transition to all-electric school bus fleets.
