Rural and tribal communities often have low rates of electric vehicle adoption. However, a growing number of funding programs, initiatives, and vehicle models are hoping to change that pattern. What barriers slow electric vehicle adoption in these communities and how can transportation electrification deliver tangible benefits that meet the unique needs of rural and tribal communities? How can we “normalize” electric vehicles in these communities?
