Diana Burk is a project manager at NBI. She focuses on strengthening national codes as a member of the IECC Commercial Consensus Committee, supporting cities and states interested in advancing building codes, and conducting research and analysis to support new energy code requirements. She leads the development of Illinois’s 2023 stretch energy code and has been consulted in the development of code for multiple cities and states including Washington D.C., New York State, Vermont, and Minnesota. She is also the Principal Investigator to a DOE-funded project (EMPOWERED, 2020) to streamline the permitting and inspection process across multiple states for distributed energy resources. Diana holds a BS in Physics from Davidson College and an MS in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University.
