Robert Evans is CEO of Cenex (www.cenex.co.uk), a European not-for-profit consultancy and research organisation with a strategic focus on supporting market development for Automated, Connected, Electric and Shared (ACES) mobility.
During his 18 years as CEO, Robert and his team at Cenex have helped develop and deliver of a broad range of low carbon vehicle and energy infrastructure projects for electric, hydrogen and gas vehicles, as well as shared mobility projects.
For EV charging infrastructure, Cenex has supported regional infrastructure roll out projects dating back to 2008, as well as assisting organisations with the development of infrastructure strategies. Robert was the independent chair of the UK Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment Association between 2013 and 2018 and has held positions on Government and Industry advisory groups for electrification policy and implementation.
Robert also helped established the Cenex Expo event (www.cenex-lcv.co.uk) as major UK technology showcasing and networking events for the low carbon vehicle and connected automated mobility communities.
Prior to joining Cenex, Robert developed international markets for environmental technologies in energy generation and transport applications, including fuel cells and vehicle emissions control.
