Mr. Daniel Huyck is currently stationed in Detroit and serves as a Senior Management and Program Analyst within HUD’s Office of Field Policy and Management. He is responsible for working with local stakeholders and elected officials on maximizing the efficiency and effectiveness of their HUD funding and serves HUD’s Section 3 lead for the Great Lake Region (Region V). Prior to his current position, Mr. Huyck served as a Portfolio Management Specialist within the Office of Public Housing and a Community Development Representative within the Office of Community Planning and Development, having started his tenure with HUD in 2011. Prior to working at HUD, Daniel earned a Juris Doctor through the University of Minnesota and a Master of Public Administration through the University of Oklahoma while serving over 20 years in the U.S. Army and U.S. Army National Guard. Hailing from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Daniel experienced low-income housing first-hand growing up and having seen devastating poverty overseas, he is dedicated to increasing access to affordable housing throughout the state.
