Vishant Kothari has been working on battery circularity policy and implementation for the last 3.5 years. In that time, he has led WRI’s public comments to CalEPA and EPA on related topics, helped advance the TRACE Act, conducted research to advance circularity in the school bus industry, and continues to serve on the Global Battery Alliance’s Steering Committee for the Battery Passport. He also helps accelerate the equitable adoption of electric school buses at the Electric School Bus Initiative at WRI. He resides in Oakland, California and loves dogs.
