Shafiq is the Director of Mobility Policy at the Michigan Department of Labor & Economic Opportunity and the Office of Future Mobility and Electrification. In this role, he leads development and deployment of mobility related policies and infrastructure in the state. Shafiq also manages the Governor’s Council on Future Mobility and Electrification. He has Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics from North Carolina State University and MBA from University of Michigan.
